Sokoban (from the japanese “warehouse keeper”) is a type of transport puzzle, in which the player pushes boxes or crates around in a warehouse, trying to get them to storage locations.
This game is my first experiment with HTML5 Canvas.
The puzzle was created in Japan by Hiroyuki Imabayashi and first published by Thinking Rabbit in 1982. My version comes with five level collections, Thinking Rabbit, Microban, Aenigma, Puzzle and Sasquatch, 400 levels in all.
You move with the arrow keys, U undoes the last move, R restarts the level, and F1 and F2 go to the previous or next level.
The best score of each level, in pushes then in moves, is kept in your browser.
Three years later, I cut it down to 4 KB of code for the WAB Contest #1: SokoWABan.
Run it in your browser
